Pete Yorn Launching New Album in LA and NY, Plus TV Appearances

Pete Yorn is launching his new, self-titled album on Vagrant Records with shows at in Los Angeles at the Roxy Theatre, Monday, September 27, the day before the album's release, and the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on October 5.

Yorn will also make TV appearances, returning to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and his first guest spot on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon as well as playing the the Lady Bird Lake Stage at the Austin City Limits Festival on October 9 in Texas
Spin.com is offering an exclusive free download of "Velcro Shoes," a track from the Pete Yorn album, produced by Frank Black (The Pixies). Starting September 7, those who pre-order the album on the iTunes Store will receive a bonus track, "Favorite Song." The album's advance single, already on radio, is "Precious Stone"
Back and FourthThe new album was recorded in five days in 2008. Yorn was working on his release Back and Fourth in Nebraska when Black sent him and email suggesting they record together. Yorn flew to Salem, OR, where the pair set up an impromptu studio for an off-the-cuff sessions, quickly knocking out the tracks. Yorn's other albums are Break Up, Nightcrawler and his 2001 debut Musicforthemorningafter.

Gogol Bordello Adds Fall Tour Dates

Gypsy-punk "Eurocana" band Gogol Bordello's has added fall tours, which kick-off October 6 in Asheville, NC and will take the group to major cities that include g Los Angeles, New Orleans and Portland

Low fee pre-sale tickets for the fall tour are on sale for a limited time this week at www.gogolbordello.com. General on-sale tickets will be available this Saturday, August 14 through the individual venues and www.ticketmaster.com.
Gogal recently recently played Lollapalooza in Chicago, delivering a madcap set that was one of the festival's highlight.  The band has been touring behind it's current album,
Trans-Continental Hustle produced by Rick Rubin and featuring songs such as "Raise the Knowledge," "Sun is on My Side," "When Universes Collide," "My Companjera" and "We Comin Rougher (Immigraniada)."
Additionally, iClips will offer the live video broadcast of Gogol Bordello and Primus from Red Rocks Amphitheater on August 12th as part of the free Summer 2010 Couch Tour. Gogol Bordello, co-headlining a major tour with rock icons Primus, will perform a 75-minute set at 7:45pm (MST).  Visit www.iclips.net for more information.
