Metallica Releasing Nashville 'Live at Grimey's' Basement Set Nov. 26

Warner Bros. Records will release Metallica's Live at Grimey's  - a recording of the band's special Nashville show from two years ago - on November 26, aka "Black Friday," the day after Thanksgiving. And it's quite the lil' holiday present for Metallica fans.
Metallica at Grimey's Basement
The performance at The Basement, a 150-capacity small club below Nashville record store,Grimey's New and Preloved Music, took place June 12, 2008 on the eve of Metallica's headlining performance at the Bonnaroo Music Fesival. The audience that night included no doubt giddy Metclub fan club members, Grimey’s staffers, a few lucky friends, and also, as WB notes, members of local law enforcement agencies.
Numbers in the set include "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)," a blistering "Master of Puppets," and "For Whom the Bell Tolls." Live at Grimey's will be released on standard CD plus as a limited-edition two-disc set on regular-weight 10” vinyl with a gatefold jacket.
The album will be sold in support of the annual Record Store Day, held on the third Saturday in April to celebrate more than 700 independently owned record stores in the U.S. and hundreds of stores internationally. Metallica officially kicked off Record Store Day at Rasputin Music in Mountain View, CA, April 19, 2008. Visit www.mymetalclub.com for a list of all participating retailers.
Metallica was inducted nto the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum last year. For more about the band, head to www.metallica.com.
