Los Lobos Releases Tin Can Trust, Launches New Tour

Los Lobos released their new studio set Tin Can Trust this week and have launched a new tour.
Tin Can Trust (Ogv)The album is the band's first collection of original material in four years. The group will appear Wednesday, August 11 on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Download a free track from the album at www.LosLobosTinCanTrust.com.

The band line-up has remained unchanged since 1984, when saxophonist/keyboardist Steve Berlin joined original members Louie Pérez (guitar, drums, vocals), David Hidalgo (guitar, violin, accordion, percussion, vocals), Cesar Rosas (guitar, vocals) and Conrad Lozano (bass, vocals).  The original quartet first formed in 1977.
Album tracks include the opening “I’ll Burn It Down,” which features guest vocal harmony from blues-rocker Susan Tedeschi.  Other numbers include the Spanish-language  the cumbia “Yo Canto” and norteño songs “Mujer Ingrata.”  The band also covers The Grateful Dead’s “West L.A.
